Ifeanyi Ubah, the Senator representing Anambra South district in the National Assembly, is reportedly dead. 

The politician and businessman passed away in the United Kingdom.

Senator Ubah reportedly left Nigeria for the UK two days ago for an operation. 

According to a source, he died in a UK hospital during the procedure, as reported by Vanguard Nigeria.

Ubah, who defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) from the Young Progressives Party (YPP) last year, was confirmed dead by a close friend. “Yes, he is dead,” the friend stated, adding that they had spoken to Ubah three times before his operation.

The family is expected to issue a statement soon.
