On July 5th, the Lagos State Police Command’s Special Squad engaged a nine-man gang around the Ajao, Okota, Isolo, and Ladipo areas, resulting in the death of all nine suspects. 

A rising Nollywood actor has been identified among the casualties in a police operation targeting a suspected kidnapping gang in Lagos. 

The police recovered five AK-47 rifles and two SUV jeeps.

Prominent film producer Seun Oloketuyi revealed that one of the slain suspects was Prince Henry Ode, a rising actor from Port Harcourt and executive producer for Nollywood actor Yul Edochie. 

Oloketuyi shared photos and a video of Ode on Instagram, noting his involvement in the gang.

Oloketuyi’s post read, 

“Ason Rich executive Producer is said to be the Ring Leader of the Kidnap gang that were shot dead in Lagos with a Port Harcourt based rising Actor. They were part of those killed in the Ladipo shooting according to reports.”
