A Nigerian landlord who goes by the name ‘PH Oil & Gas Celeb – @Neniger1’ on Twitter has announced a reduction of his tenants’ rent because of the current economic situation.
@Neniger1 took Twitter to reveal that he has slashed N20,000 from each tenants rent which will take effect from their next renewal.
He tweeted ‘A #20,000 reduction has been approved and takes effect on their next renewal. Na who see food chop fit pay rent, tins hard’
He said that his lawyer has been directed to inform his tenants of adjustment.

@callhervine; “What you have done is quite commendable. However, it can’t be a norm because a lot of capital goes into building houses. Some landlords have to repay bank loans. Even if it doesn’t benefit tenants, landlords have to adjust their rates by the cost of living.”
