This morning, the Nigeria Police Force Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command; SP Benjamin Hundryin has revealed that a Nigerian music artist popularly known as Ice Prince Zamani has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer in Lagos.

SP Benjamin Hundryin took to Twitter to make the disclosure at the early hours of today.

According to Hundeyin, Ice Prince was first stopped by police for cruising in a vehicle without license registration plate. He agreed to be taken to a station in the same vehicle in the escort of the said policeman.

However, Ice Prince instead kidnapped the man, assaulted him, and threatened to throw him into a river.

He wrote:

“ At 3am today, @Iceprincezamani was stopped for driving without license plates. He agreed to be taken to the station.

He, thereafter, abducted the police officer in his car, assaulted him and threatened to throw him in the river. He has been arrested and would be arraigned today.”
