Benue State governor, Governor Samuel Ortom took to his twitter to call on the Federal Government of Nigeria to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra.

In the long tweet, the governor said that Kanu’s issue was a socio-political challenge that should be dealt with politically.

The governor expressed that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is supposed to be released arguing that even members of Boko Haram who posed greater threat to Nigeria’s unity had often been freed, resettled and some integrated into the armed forces.
Even Boko Haram members who pose a greater threat to the country’s unity have often been pardoned, freed and reintegrated into the society.
