Following the recent interview Atiku had with Arise TV on Friday, in which he said that Wike was not rejected as his running mate but he chose who he felt could deliver among the nominees presented to him by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP),

In Atiku’s words;

“

I didn’t reject Wike, I picked who can deliver. Wike is brilliant and tenacious. Going by history, I picked an Igbo as running mate in 2007, in 2019. I still picked an Igbo as running mate for 2023”, Atiku said when asked why he did not chose Wike as his running mate. 

Meanwhile, Governor Nyesom Wike via his Twitter handle has responded in a tweet that he will soon speak on recent happenings in the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP)

According to the tweet, Wike said it has become relevant for him to speak and reveal to Nigerians all that has transpired in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in recent times.

“

I will speak soon and Nigerians will know the actual truth of all that has transpired in the PDP in recent times”, the Governor disclosed in the tweet.
