A notorious bandit kingpin known as Alero Adamu has been conferred the traditional title of Sarki Fulani Yandoto by the Emir of Yandoto in Zamfara State; Alhaji Garba Marafa

Alero led a group of terrorists that attack communities in Tsafe and Gusau in Zamfara and Faskari and Kankara in Katsina State.

As reported by Nigerian Tribune, the ceremony was held on Saturday, July 16, 2022.

The 45-year-old man was reportedly born in Yankuzo village under Tsafe Local Government Area but grew up in the main town.

It was said that Alero had played an important role during the recent peace meetings arranged between the emirate and bandits terrorizing Tsafe Local Government Area.

It was in the meeting that Alero agreed to stop attacking the communities and villages in the emirate. He also accepted to allow people to continue farm.

Hence the decision to confer him the title ‘ Sarki Fulani Yandoto’
